 Amazon, the world's largest e-Commerce Company, is looking for an exceptional Technical Editor to author, maintain content and drive localization efforts needed for Amazon India Payments.

As a technical editor on this team you will interact with technical editors and business/product teams in the U.S., EU and Asia to draft, edit, translate, and maintain editorial content, including help pages, support associate information, and announcements for the India Payments platforms. This position will be located in Hyderabad, India.

What we are looking for:-

Outstanding skills in writing about complex technical subjects to a variety of audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Proven experience of technical editing/writing in a similar role.

Ability to be self-directed and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in a global team environment

Affinity for technology and a proven background in technical writing/editing and information design

Precise documentation and clear communication skills

Strong HTML or XML skills

Fluency in written Indian English

Experience with version controls on documentation or experience with working on a content management system

Additional language skills/fluency in German, French, Spanish, or Italian is a plus (not mandatory)

Working knowledge of JavaScript, Darwin Information Typing Architecture, Flash, Photoshop and Adobe Captivate is a plus (not mandatory)

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, engineering, communications, linguistics, or related field (Master's degree preferred)

Atleast 2 years of technical writing/editing experience

Atleast 2 years of experience with HTML, XHTML and/or CSS

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment

Personal initiative, flexibility, and intellectual curiosity

Ability to conceptualize and execute projects, with strong bias for action and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Experience with Adobe RoboHelp or MadCap Flare is a plus

Experience with self-service training software (E.g. Camtasia, Captivate) is a plus

Experience working on an editorial team supporting multiple languages is a plus
