POSITION SUMMARY :

Ensure all Diebold regional bids & proposals, via consistent policy and process, are appropriately assessed for the Price requested, Gross Margin return, Non-standards, unusual risk, commercial terms and Channel program integrity

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS :

  The position reports to the North America Pricing Director and works closely with the Regional Sales Teams, Sales Management, Finance, Solutions Management, Marketing, Legal and Operations. This individual provides pricing guidance to ensure comprehensive understanding of risks and financial opportunities for major bids, quotes and proposals.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY :

Partner in minimize Diebold Commercial and Financial exposure and risk in major Sales Opportunities and Engagements and in Key Business partner in terms of providing pricing recommendations and consultative support to area and regional Sales Leaders and also Main areas of consultation are Diebold value proposition, bid pricing strategy, TCO analysis, competitive tactics, pricing, packaging and terms, revenue recognition, standard and non-standard terms and conditions, negotiating strategy, and leasing / financing issues, Lead bid opportunity through the bid review process, incl. ensuring that proper Bid Qualification takes place and Ensure compliance to bid review and pricing thresholds.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Coaching of Services Operations associates, keeping performance goals and objectives in focus
• Coordinate joint efforts with Project Management and Client Services organizations.
• Administer the information support structure and documentation for operational process change
• Work with the Implementation and IS Contract Management teams to coordinate necessary customer documentation as needed to support critical contractual obligations and facilitate effective communications
• Provide input to capital plans/budgets regarding technology/equipment needs
• Ad hoc responsibilities as assigned by Director

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree
• Recognized professional Accounting / Business qualification
• Demonstrated financial/analytical skills gained through formal education or work experience
• Good working knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards, with particular regard to recording revenue related transactions in line with external and internal requirements.
• Experience / knowledge of technology sector sales and channels operations
• Financial and Customer Services experience a plus
• Ability to work comfortably with senior management
• Ability and confidence to interact with colleagues at all levels, across multiple countries and cultures etc;
• Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of motivation and initiative
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Core Competencies
