Bcci President Jagmohan Dalmiya Passes Away: Breaking News
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Jagmohan Dalmiya passed away on Sunday evening in Kolkata. The former International Cricket Council (ICC) chief was 75. He had been admitted with chest pain to a city hospital few days ago and had undergone a surgery. He passed away within 72 hours of the heart surgery. “Mr. Dalmiya died of internal gastrointestinal bleeding and internal organ failure,” hospital sources said, confirming the veteran cricket administrator’s death. Cricket Association of Bengal sources added: “At 6 p.m. in the evening his condition deteriorated and shortly afterwards he suffered a massive cardiac arrest from which he could not recover.” West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condoled the passing away of BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya, calling him a ‘giant’ amongst sports administrators. “Sad. Jagmohan Dalmiya ji passes away. He was a giant amongst sports administrators, a true lover of Bengal. On my way to pay my respect. RIP,” Ms. Banerjee tweeted.
