Job description:

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Technical Writer you are expected to create high-quality but easy to understand documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will be part of the product management team and will work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers and architects to make our products easier to use.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
• Write easy-to-understand, precise and concise user documentation thus needing fewer instructions
• Organize and write supporting documents for products, marketing brochures, datasheets, white papers etc
• Revise and update documentation as the product / marketing needs evolve
• Gather usability feedback from customers, product managers, and consultants

Desired Skills and Experience:

Education and Certifications:

•  Preferably Masters degree in English Literature, Journalism or communications

Experience:

Between 4 – 7 years of experience in IT industry

Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

• Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Excellent written skills in English
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently
• High work ethic and drive
