Job Description:

We are looking for a Data Scientist with a solid machine learning background to work with our engineering team to improve and optimize our platform. You will have significant input into the teams architectural approach and execution. We are looking for a hands-on coder who enjoys implementing algorithms as much as designing and fine-tuning them.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

- Design scalable predictive models over large number of features 

- Be responsible for the ML implementation process: model design, feature planning, system infrastructure, production setup and monitoring, and release management 

- Use ML techniques optimized for distributed computing environments

- Expert in at least one of: Python, Java, Scala 

- Good understanding of web technologies and 

- Full-time commitment

DESIRED SKILLS 

- Familiarity with distributed systems and methodologies: Spark, Hadoop, MapReduce, Cascading, Hive, Pig 

- Experience with NoSQL / graph databases: Neo4J, MongoDB, Riak, Cassandra 

- Experience with cloud technologies: AWS, Rackspace, Azure
