Job description
The incumbent will own the responsibility of generating demand and revenues jointly with the Business Heads. He/she would be required to accurately estimate the demand for various products and services offered by WaterHealth. He/she would be required to gather competitive and market intelligence and analyse that to develop a suitable competitive response from the Company. The candidate needs to develop a deep understanding of the customer (consumer) and create products, service delivery etc. to meet or exceed the customer/consumer expectations. The incumbent will also be responsible to contribute to the NPI process including a 'go to market' plan. Finally the candidate would be expected to develop and execute the Market Communication, Public Relations and brand and product strategies
- Capture and analyse data to determine consumer/customer buying/decision making behaviour.
- Identify suitable segments/geographies (including feasibility studies) for various product and business lines.
- Accurately estimate the demand and adoption for various products and services of the Company.
- Use competitive information to develop product/service offerings including a suitable competitive response (for B2B and B2C segments).
- Provide support to revenue generating businesses to increase sales/revenue through acquisition/retention of customers/consumers.
- Develop and run innovative plans to improve product and business profitability.
- Develop and implement customer and market communication plans i.e. all forms of communication plans.
- Establish WaterHealth as a preferred brand in the 'mind of the customers and stakeholders'.
Key responsibilities
Education: PG Diploma or MBA (Marketing) from a reputed Business School.
Functional Experience:
Should have managed an independent marketing function, should be exposed to various areas of Sales and Marketing including channel management, trade schemes, communication plans, new product (service) introduction and consumer behaviour and analysis.
Super speciality:
Exposure to regression, factor analysis, segmentation and conjoint analysis etc. and other analytical tools.
Years of Experience:
Over 10 years of work experience in brand and/or product management with at least two (2) years’ experience in sales. Exposure to the rural marketing i.e. category C and D towns including villages would be preferred, experience in both B2B and B2C sales would be an added advantage
The incumbent could grow into the Leadership role of Director Marketing (Global Operations).
