Akshay Kothari takes over as new head of LinkedIn India

LinkedIn has appointed Akshay Kothari as Country Manager for India. LinkedIn’s country manager, Nishant Rao quit the company in October last year. Kothari will report to LinkedIn’s APAC Managing Director, Olivier Legrand. Kothari has been with LinkedIn since the acquisition of news reader app for the Web and mobile, Pulse in 2013. Kothari co-founded Pulse along with Ankit Gupta in 2010, while they were students at Stanford University. Kothari was based out of LinkedIn’s headquarters in Mountain View, California and has led several major product and content initiatives since then.
