Kamal Haasan will speech at harvard university Conference 2016: Breaking News

Kamal Haasan is perhaps the first south Indian actor to speak at the prestigious Harvard University. He is one of the key speakers at the India Conference 2016 this February.

The Indian star will address the audience on February 6 on ‘India’s soft power’. The event is hosted at the Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School by the graduate students of Harvard University.

This is not just an honour for the actor but for India as well. Kamal Haasan has made some extraordinary films over the years and his acting skills are known world-wide. Interestingly, the actor is a school drop-out and all his learning has come through his own interest. He is considered one of the most intellectual and well-read actors in India.

Other Indians who will be speaking at the event include politician Shashi Tharoor, banker Chanda Kochar and Apollo Hospitals’ Preetha Reddy.

Kamal Haasan (born 7 November 1954) is an Indian film actor, screenwriter, director, producer, playback singer, choreographer, lyricist, philanthropist and dancer who works primarily in the Tamil film industry.

Kamal Haasan received the Kalaimamani Award in 1979, the Padma Shri Award in 1990 and the Padma Bhushan Award in 2014.
