Raghuram Rajan conferred Central Banker Award by FT group
The Reserve Bank of India Governor, Raghuram Rajan has been conferred with the Central Banker of the Year Award (Global and Asia Pacific) for 2016 by ‘The Banker’, a monthly publication of the Financial Times Group focusing on banking. Rajan was selected for his efforts in stabilising the Indian rupee, initiating key reforms to attract much needed foreign capital in the country and reining in a runaway price appreciation.
