Job Title: Commodities CWMCOM Developer

Business: Commodities Technology

Reporting to: Commodities CWMCOM Lead (Pune)

Location: Pune, India

Job Purpose:

As a Java Developer in the Global Commodities CWMCOM team, the candidate will be involved in maintaining and enhancing Confirmation and Invocies generation system for Commodities trades as well as being involved in building a strategic platform used across the global Commodities Confirmation Operation users.

The candidate will be expected to work very closely with Comodities Operation users across our global locations to deliver end-to-end solutions for application enhancement activity and regulatory items.

We are looking for someone who is very strong technically and is capable of working in a very agile environment with an emphasis on software craftsmanship.

This role has arisen due to growth in the Commodities business globally.

Job Background/Context:

The successful candidate will be very detail-oriented and have very strong stakeholder management skills in addition to an extremely strong technical background. Strong communication is also important for this role.

A demonstrably strong delivery track record, combined with excellent technical and business understanding will be required by the successful candidate.

A background in Commodities and/or market data would be a large plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with key stakeholders in front office, operations users and production support, and develop strategic, stable and resilient solutions in an agile environment

Strong involvement with driving the platform’s overall design and architecture

Collaborating with other global Commodities technology teams and more widely across markets technology

Developing and maintaining very strong relationships with Operation Users and Front Office system

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong background in software architecture, design, programming practices, knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles

Strong technical background in Java, Spring, Hibernate

Additional knowledge of JMS, Weblogic and JBoss Drools will be handy

Should be able to work independently and demonstrate ownership

Proven expertise in development of front office solutions and knowledge of market data solutions

Delivery Focused – ability to manage both large and small projects end to end

Qualifications:

Relevant education to degree level and/or relevant practical experience
