Job description:

The role requires an in depth knowledge of current Java build technology and application deployment in a distributed Unix environment. This is a technical role and proven hands-on build and release management experience in a large organization is expected as well as solid knowledge in source control, automated build, automated deployments, packaging and versioning. Knowledge of Agile is a beneficial. Attention to detail and the ability to work within and across teams is an absolute must. In addition to day-to-day responsibility, the candidate will be expected to propose, implement, and evaluate solutions in order to improve and automate the delivery process, especially to reduce delivery cycle time. Any Experience in developing Web Applications using Java/J2EE is a huge advantage.

Requirements:

• Expert with at least one source control system preferably Git or tools like Subversion or Perforce.
• 5 or more years of experience scripting and automating application builds using various languages and tools such as Maven, Ant, or similar.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like power shell/UNIX shell scripting/Perl/Ruby/Python is mandatory.
• Previous experience in the major Unix type environments (AIX, Linux, Solaris) environments.
• 5 or more years of experience in Continuous Integration application software build discipline.
• 5 or more years of experience in Java based application builds.
• 3 or more years of experience working in an enterprise continuous integration environment.
• Previous experience leading and/or mentoring application teams in CI and Agile build best practices including Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Has worked on Tools like Jira, Bugzilla etc.
• 4 or more years of experience working in Dev Ops for web applications using Java/J2EE is a huge bonus.
• Desired Skills and Experience
• 3 or more years of experience using CI server such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar
• 3 or more years of experience with unit testing tools such as JUnit, NUnit, XUnit, or similar
• 3 or more years of experience with code coverage/Analysys tools such as Cobertura, Findbugs,  Jacoco, or similar
• 3 or more years of experience building applications in various IDEs such as Eclipse, RAD, IntelliJ or similar
• 3 or more years of experience with tools in the area of developer productivity / team collaboration / log Monitoring
