Position Summary 

The role of the Environments Application Engineer is to install and configure the software tools used to support and maintain client ERP applications including Oracle EBS, SAP, Hyperion, JD Edwards, and PeopleSoft as part of our global Environments team within the global support organization. The position has the responsibility for researching, troubleshooting, and supporting remote desktop, Citrix and other technologies as it relates to the installation and configuration of the specific ERP software tools. The Environments Application Engineer should have the expertise and skills to evaluate the customer desktop, and then deliver rapid setup of standard tools onto the client virtual machines within complex, integrated and highly-configured environments, these tools will be used in support of SAP, Oracle EBS, and other ERP applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

• Extensive experience with the installation and configuration of tools used to support the following ERP packages, Oracle EBS, SAP, Hyperion, PeopleSoft and others as identified
• Hands-on configuration, installation, troubleshooting ERP application and support tools
• Solve complex customer issues using methodical troubleshooting based on expert knowledge of Windows, Citrix, Remote Desktop, Application Tools functionality and technology
• Work closely with customers on a daily basis to understand their needs, support business change and deliver a consistently high quality customer experience
• Configuration and deployment of Microsoft Office & Internet browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome)
• Collaborate with team members in a virtual team environment to extend field experience to different client situations.
• Assist in implementing security policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure secure system access and controls the at application level.
• Contribute to the development and management of knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools, and creative processes, to improve the client experience
• Assist in the training of other team members in the best practices of analysis and deployment of supporting tools for major ERP applications
• Create, edit and communicate technical documentation, scripts and reports covering system configuration and operating procedures to support continuous effort in maintaining policies, process and standards that support company operations and sustain various compliance requirements

Qualifications/Skills/Experience: 

Education 

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. 
• Experience 
• Extensive experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of various tools used to support ERP applications
• Demonstrated understanding of applications at both functional and technical level
• Experience with QA processes and testing of software tool installation and hand-off
• 5+ years relevant Administration experience
• Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft and Citrix configuration, and ERP tool installation skills 
• Skills 
• Superb trouble-shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving.
• Passionate focus on customer support
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills – verbal & written
• Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
• Extreme focus on Client satisfaction.
• Ability to work calmly and professionally in high pressure situations. 
• Desired Qualifications 
• A consulting background, while not mandatory, would be useful
• Experience with localizations and global implementations would be an advantage
